
Ashok Leyland, the flagship commercial vehicle subsidiary of the Hinduja Group, has won a major order worth ₹668.76 crore from Tamil Nadu State Transport Undertakings (TNSTU) for 1,937 buses, reinforcing its leadership in the Indian bus market.
Order Composition and Delivery Schedule
The order includes a mix of AIS 153 compliant BS VI diesel-fueled chassis and fully built buses, serving town, mofussil (rural), and State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) operations:

- Air suspension and optimized floor heights for better ride quality
- Wheelchair ramps for improved accessibility
