The Maharashtra government and Lodha Developers Ltd have signed a ₹30,000 crore MoU to develop a Green Integrated Data Centre Park in Palava, Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Spread across 370 acres with a planned 2-gigawatt capacity, the park aims to host domestic and international data centre operators, supporting Maharashtra’s push as a digital infrastructure hub.
The project is expected to create around 6,000 direct and indirect jobs and operate entirely on renewable and alternative energy, in line with the state’s Green Integrated Data Centre Parks policy. This initiative reinforces Maharashtra’s strategy to attract sustainable investments in cloud computing, AI, and digital services, positioning the state as a leader in the green digital economy.
Abhishek Lodha, MD & CEO of Lodha Developers, emphasized the commitment to net-zero operations and the creation of a sustainable, employment-generating infrastructure.
