Deal to Add 300 MW Solar Capacity in Rajasthan, Strengthening Renewable Energy Portfolio

ACME Solar Holdings Ltd., one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, has approved the acquisition of 100% equity in AK Renewable Infra Pvt. Ltd. for an enterprise value of ₹79.25 crore. The acquisition was cleared by the Operational Committee of the company’s Board of Directors during its meeting held on September 5, 2025, and is subject to standard closing conditions outlined in the Share Purchase Agreement (SPA).

Once completed, AK Renewable Infra will become a wholly owned subsidiary of ACME Solar, further consolidating the company’s presence in India’s solar power market.

Acquisition Details

The deal will be executed as a cash transaction under the signed SPA with AK Renewable Infra and its existing shareholders. The acquisition is expected to be completed within five business days of signing, unless otherwise extended by mutual agreement.

Through this transaction, ACME Solar will gain full ownership of a project pipeline with significant strategic value.

Strategic Implications

This acquisition is expected to provide ACME Solar with several key advantages:

  • Enhanced Project Pipeline: AK Renewable Infra has secured development rights for 300 MW of solar capacity in Rajasthan, including land, connectivity, and all required approvals.
  • Faster Execution and Commissioning: The addition of these assets will accelerate ACME Solar’s project delivery timeline, enabling quicker revenue generation and profitability.
  • Expanded Market Presence: The integration of AK Renewable Infra’s projects will strengthen ACME Solar’s leadership position in the renewable energy park development sector.

This move aligns with India’s broader push toward achieving 500 GW of renewable capacity by 2030 and reflects ACME’s strategy of expanding through high-value acquisitions.
