Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has received a significant order from MB Power (Madhya Pradesh) Limited for the supply of equipment to its upcoming 1×800 MW Anuppur Thermal Power Project in Madhya Pradesh. The order, valued at approximately ₹2,600 crore (excluding GST), was formalised through a Letter of Intent (LOI) accepted by BHEL on September 3, 2025.

Scope of Supply

The contract covers the supply of Boiler, Turbine, and Generator (BTG) packages, which are the core components of the supercritical technology-based project. Manufacturing will be undertaken at BHEL’s major facilities:

  • Boilers – BHEL’s Trichy plant
  • Turbine and Generator – BHEL’s Haridwar plant

The supply of equipment for the Anuppur project is scheduled to be completed within 58 months, ensuring a phased and systematic delivery to meet the project’s commissioning requirements.
