TPG Capital LP and Warburg Pincus are in early-stage discussions to acquire a stake in Sirion Labs Pvt, a company specialising in contract management software for businesses. Reports indicate that the potential transaction could involve a majority stake valued at over $500 million, with the possibility of additional investors joining the round.
About Sirion Labs
Sirion Labs develops AI-driven tools that help companies automate and manage contract workflows, reducing manual effort in handling large volumes of documents. The platform is increasingly relevant amid rising demand for automation and AI-powered enterprise solutions.
Founded in New Delhi in 2012, the company later relocated its headquarters to the US to support global expansion. Co-founder Ajay Agrawal previously co-founded UnitedLex Corp, a legal tech and support firm that received a majority investment from CVC Capital Partners Plc in 2018, highlighting early private equity connections.
Growth and Strategic Acquisitions
In 2023, Sirion Labs acquired Eigen Technologies, a company that develops software for extracting and processing data from documents. The acquisition strengthened Sirion’s automation capabilities and contributed to a reported valuation of around $1 billion.
Current Investors
Sirion Labs counts Partners Group Holding AG, Peak XV Partners, Brookfield Growth, and Avatar Capital among its existing investors. If the TPG or Warburg deal proceeds, it would add another significant private equity partner to the company’s roster.
The discussions are ongoing, and details regarding deal structure, final valuation, and investor participation are yet to be finalised.
