Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPV) has achieved a significant milestone this festive season, delivering over 1 lakh vehicles between Navratri and Diwali 2025, marking a 33% year-on-year growth compared to the same period last year.
Managing Director and CEO Shailesh Chandra attributed the strong performance to buoyant consumer sentiment and growing demand across Tata Motors’ diverse vehicle portfolio.
SUVs Drive Sales Momentum
The company’s SUV lineup emerged as the key growth driver. The Tata Nexon led the charge with over 38,000 units delivered, registering a remarkable 73% year-on-year increase. The Tata Punch followed with 32,000 units, reflecting a 29% growth, underscoring the brand’s strength in India’s rapidly expanding SUV segment.
EV Portfolio Gains Traction
Tata Motors’ electric vehicle (EV) segment also posted strong numbers, with more than 10,000 EVs sold during the 30-day festive window, representing a 37% year-on-year growth. The surge highlights rising consumer adoption of sustainable mobility and reinforces Tata Motors’ leadership in India’s EV market.
The robust festive season performance reflects both strong product appeal and strategic positioning in key growth segments, positioning Tata Motors for continued momentum as consumer demand remains upbeat.
