Helmet maker Studds Accessories Ltd has raised nearly ₹137 crore from anchor investors ahead of its initial public offering (IPO), which opens for public subscription on October 30.
Strong Response from Institutional Investors
According to details shared on the BSE website, the anchor allotment attracted robust interest from leading institutional players such as HDFC Mutual Fund, Nippon India Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, ITI Mutual Fund, Kedaraa Capital Public Markets Fund I, Carnelian India Amritkaal Fund, Pinebridge India Equity Fund, and Edelweiss Life Insurance Company.
The company allotted 23,35,836 equity shares to anchor investors at ₹585 per share, amounting to ₹136.64 crore. Of this, nearly 79.43% of the shares—around 18.55 lakh equity shares—went to six domestic mutual funds across ten schemes, representing a total investment of ₹108.37 crore.
IPO Structure and Valuation
The ₹455 crore IPO will remain open from October 30 to November 3, with a price band fixed between ₹557 and ₹585 per share. At the upper end of the range, Studds is valued at around ₹2,300 crore.
The issue comprises a complete Offer for Sale (OFS) of 77.86 lakh shares, with the promoter group and existing shareholders divesting their stakes. As the offering does not include any fresh share issuance, the proceeds will go entirely to the selling shareholders rather than the company.
