Sharika Enterprises Limited has announced the receipt of a contract from JSW Renew Energy Three Limited for the supply of 33KV outdoor smart SF6 load break switches (LBS). The order, disclosed to stock exchanges on September 3, 2025, will support a wind farm project being developed by JSW.

Continuation of Earlier Collaboration

This latest order builds on Sharika’s earlier engagement with JSW, where it supplied underground cables for the company’s renewable projects. The continued association reflects efforts by both companies to strengthen renewable energy infrastructure with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

Growing Shift to Underground Cabling

The renewable sector is witnessing a gradual move from overhead lines to underground cabling systems, particularly in solar and wind projects. This transition improves system availability, reduces outage risks, and enhances grid stability. Advanced designs also enable ring operation and self-healing functions, which allow for quicker fault isolation and recovery.

Technical Details

The contract includes SF6 gas-insulated load break switches, positioned as an alternative to traditional Ring Main Units (RMUs). These switches are designed to improve safety, provide operational flexibility, and optimize project costs, making them suitable for renewable energy distribution networks.

Manufacturing Partnership

The equipment will be manufactured by Contronics Switchgear, a company with more than 45 years of expertise in electric control panels. The collaboration brings together Sharika’s project execution experience with Contronics’ production capabilities, offering a combined solution for renewable distribution needs.

About Sharika Enterprises

The company has executed renewable energy projects for public sector undertakings such as NTPC, NHPC, and SECI, including both grid-connected and hybrid solar plants.

Summary

Sharika Enterprises’ new order from JSW Renew Energy highlights its growing role in renewable energy infrastructure. By supplying advanced switchgear backed by its manufacturing partner Contronics, the company is contributing to the broader industry shift toward underground cabling and smarter, more resilient grid solutions.
