Pace Digitek Limited has clinched a major contract worth Rs. 1,159.31 crore from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI) for a 600 MW/1200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The agreement includes the design, supply, implementation, and 10-year maintenance of the BESS, marking a significant milestone in India’s renewable energy sector.

Project Scope and Timeline

The contract covers end-to-end responsibilities, including BESS DC blocks, HVAC systems, fire protection, power conversion systems, battery management, and energy management systems. Pace Digitek will also handle integration, testing, commissioning, and plant performance demonstration, ensuring a fully operational energy storage solution.

The project will be executed in phases: 50% of capacity is expected to be commissioned within 14 months, and full capacity within 16 months from the contract’s effective date. Supply milestones are scheduled accordingly, with 50% of the system delivered in 11 months and the remaining 100% in 13 months.
