NIFTY:
Nifty opened at 15703.70 with a gap down of 77 points. The index was initially consolidated and then turned down. Prices have seen a sharp decline of more than 200 points. moved up towards 15900 and faces resistance around this level. Prices have found an intraday support around 15500 and the bounced up. The index recorded its intraday low at 15511.05, rallied higher, and recovered all the losses. The gap down was also filled and the index recorded its intraday high at 15793.95. Prices have finally closed at 15752.05 near its day high wit h a loss of just 28.20 points or 0.18% down. FMCG outperformed today and ended with a gain of 2.82% followed by REALTY which ended 1.58% higher. 0IL GAS underperformed today and ended with a loss of 4.17%.
For tomorrow, we are recommending the same trade. Look for a buying opportunity above 15950 or sell short below 15650. In case of a gap beyond these levels, wait for prices to come there. Keep a stop of 110 points and a target of 240 points.
BANK NIFTY:
Bank Nifty opened at 33273.55 with a big gap down of 419 points. The index initially continued moving lower but soon finds support around 33200 and bounced up after recording its intraday low at 33185.25. A rally faces resistance very quickly and the index begins a process of consolidation. Prices have recorded its intraday high at 33422.80 and finally closed at 33239.25 wit h a loss of 453 points. PVT and PSU BANKS both have performed almost the same today, saw a down move, and ended with a loss of 1.12% & 0.90% respectively. Within the index, in terms of points, PNB contributed the highest on the upside while AXIS BANK contributed the lowest.
The short-term trend is sideways. The Index again opened with a gap down which is sustained today. However, prices did not add on the downside and moved in a narrow range throughout the day. We will look for the buy after seeing the price action above 336000.

Coal India on Friday said its coal production increased 29 per cent year-on-year to a record 159.8 million tonne (MT) in April-June this fiscal. It had produced 124 MT coal in the year-ago period, Coal India Limited (CIL) said in a statement.

As customers delay purchasing electric two-wheelers amid fire incidents, Ola Electric again saw its registration dipping in the month of June, taking the company to fourth place in the overall category. Bhavish Aggarwal-run Ola Electric saw 5,869 electric scooters’ registrations (as of June 30), according to the VAHAN data. The June tally for EV two-wheelers was led by Okinawa Autotech, at 6,976 vehicles, followed by Ampere Vehicles Pvt Ltd at 6,534.

The government would depend on its public capital expenditure programme to revive demand in the economy and might not go for sector-specific fiscal measures, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told Business Standard on Friday. In a wide-ranging interview, Sitharaman said the Centre would finalise the privatisation of a public sector bank soon. Also, the fiscal deficit and growth situation were very comfortable this year in spite of continuing external headwinds, she added.

India’s manufacturing sector activity eased to a nine-month low in June as growth of total sales and production moderated amid intense price pressures, a monthly survey said on Friday. The seasonally adjusted S&P Global India Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) fell to 53.9 in June from 54.6 in May, the weakest pace of growth since last September.
