Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured multiple large orders for its Buildings & Factories business in India, further strengthening its order book in the construction and infrastructure space. The newly awarded projects span cultural, sports and residential developments, highlighting the company’s capabilities across complex engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) assignments.

Museum Project in Madhya Pradesh

The Buildings & Factories vertical of L&T has received an order from the Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation for the construction of the Advait Lok (Acharya Shankar Museum Complex and Parking) at Omkareshwar in Khandwa district. The project involves the development of a global museum featuring detailed stone carvings and glass fibre reinforced concrete architectural elements.

The scope of work includes civil construction, architectural finishes, mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services, along with external development and parking infrastructure. The project is scheduled for completion within a period of 36 months.

Sports Infrastructure Development in Assam

L&T has also been awarded an EPC contract by the Government of Assam for the redevelopment of the R G Baruah Sports Complex in Guwahati. The project includes the construction of a football stadium compliant with FIFA standards, with a seating capacity of 25,000 spectators. In addition to the stadium, the scope covers the development of supporting sports and allied facilities. The project is expected to be executed over a timeline of 27 months.

Value of Orders

The combined value of these newly secured orders falls within the ‘large’ category as defined by the company, with contract values ranging between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore.

Luxury Residential Towers in Mumbai

In the residential segment, L&T has secured an order from a reputed real estate developer for the construction of luxury high-rise residential towers in Mumbai. The project comprises three towers featuring two basement levels, a ground floor and between 45 and 66 upper floors. The structures will be built using reinforced concrete shell and core construction and will include high-end finishes and comprehensive MEP services. The towers are designed to reach heights of up to 230 metres.
