The India Maritime Week (IMW) 2025 concluded with a record-breaking ₹12 lakh crore (US$ 135.36 billion) in investment commitments and over 600 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed, marking a 41% increase over the Global Maritime India Summit (GMIS) 2023. The announcement was made by Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal, who said the event reflects growing global confidence in India’s maritime resurgence under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

- Shipping Corporation of India: ₹1,00,000 crore (US$ 11.28 billion) fleet expansion
- Oil and Gas PSUs: ₹47,800 crore (US$ 5.39 billion) in shipbuilding orders
- Green Tug Programme: ₹12,000 crore (US$ 1.35 billion) for deploying 100 eco-friendly tugs by 2040
- V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority: ₹47,000 crore (US$ 5.3 billion) green ammonia projects
- Paradip Port: ₹45,000 crore (US$ 5.08 billion) green hydrogen initiatives
Global Engagement and Strategic Vision
The Global Maritime CEO Forum and Maritime Leaders Conclave, attended by maritime leaders from across 85 countries, reaffirmed international support for India’s Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047.
IMW 2025 also hosted 19 thematic conferences covering:
