Management Commentary on Q2FY26 Performance

Sharad Aggarwal, Chief Executive Officer of Godfrey Phillips India, said the company continued to maintain its growth momentum in the first half of FY26. It reported a consolidated gross sales value of ₹8,068 crore and a net profit of ₹661 crore from continuing operations, reflecting a 23% and 22% year-on-year increase, respectively.

Aggarwal attributed the strong performance to enhanced operational efficiency and expanding market reach. Domestic cigarette volumes grew 25% year-on-year in H1FY26, while unmanufactured tobacco exports declined 15% compared to H1FY25. However, the company expects export performance to improve in the second half, supported by crop development initiatives and long-standing customer relationships.

He added that the improved financial results enabled the company to reward shareholders with an interim dividend of ₹17 per share, following the recent bonus share issuance in a 2:1 ratio.
