Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Limited has operationalised a 185 MW hybrid renewable energy project at Kalavad in Gujarat, further strengthening its clean energy portfolio. The project integrates solar and wind power, enhancing supply reliability for industrial and commercial consumers.
Hybrid Design Enhances Energy Reliability
The Kalavad project combines solar and wind generation to ensure a more stable and consistent power supply. Hybrid renewable systems are increasingly preferred as they enable electricity generation across different time cycles, supporting round-the-clock energy requirements.
Developed over a period of approximately 12 months, the project is designed to cater to corporate clients seeking dependable green energy solutions.
Capacity Expansion in Gujarat
With the commissioning of this project, CleanMax’s total operational capacity in Gujarat has reached around 844 MW as of March 31, 2026. The state continues to be a key hub for renewable energy development, driven by strong industrial demand and favourable policy support.
Group Captive Model for Corporate Consumers
The power generated from the project will be supplied to 17 corporate customers under the group captive model. This structure allows participating companies to invest in the project while securing long-term access to renewable power in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Notable beneficiaries include Apar Industries Limited and Borosil Renewables Limited, among other listed entities. The model supports cost efficiency while advancing corporate sustainability objectives.
Environmental and Financial Impact
The Kalavad hybrid project is expected to offset approximately 3.61 lakh tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually. This environmental benefit is equivalent to planting nearly 20.9 million trees each year.
From a financial perspective, the project is projected to contribute over ₹165 crore annually to CleanMax’s revenue after stabilisation, starting FY2027.
