Purvah Green Power Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of CESC Ltd, has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to develop a 300 MW solar power project integrated with an energy storage system. The LoA, dated October 27, 2025, has been officially received and accepted, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Project Overview

Purvah Green Power was selected under SECI’s Request for Selection (RfS) for developing 2,000 MW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar PV projects combined with 1,000 MW / 4,000 MWh of energy storage systems across India. The subsidiary had participated in SECI’s national tender aimed at boosting renewable energy generation with firm and dispatchable power capability.

Key Contract Details

The project will be developed under the Ministry of Power’s June 2023 guidelines for tariff-based competitive bidding of renewable projects with energy storage.

  • Contract period: 25 years
  • Tariff: ₹2.86 per kWh
  • Scope: Establishment of a 300 MW solar power plant integrated with energy storage, connected to the inter-state transmission system (ISTS)

Regulatory and Compliance Note

CESC clarified that the award is domestic in nature and does not involve any related-party transactions. The company also confirmed compliance with all regulatory and procedural norms under the competitive bidding process.

This project marks another step in CESC’s renewable energy expansion, aligning with India’s push for sustainable and reliable power generation.
