Infrastructure and engineering firm Ceigall India Ltd has bagged a major ₹712.16 crore contract from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) to develop 190 MW (AC) of solar photovoltaic (PV) power projects under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0.

The Letter of Award (LOA), received from MSEDCL, mandates Ceigall to design, build, operate, and maintain the solar power plants across four districts in Maharashtra. The project, valued at ₹712.16 crore (inclusive of GST), will be executed under an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model.

Under the agreement, Ceigall will supply power to MSEDCL through a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), ensuring long-term energy delivery stability. As per the company’s filing, the projects must be completed within 18 months, after which they will continue operations for the full contractual period.

The company clarified that the contract was awarded by a domestic entity and does not constitute a related-party transaction.

This project marks a significant milestone in Ceigall India’s expansion into the renewable energy sector, diversifying its infrastructure portfolio and reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth. The initiative also aligns with the Maharashtra government’s green energy agenda under MSKVY 2.0 — a scheme designed to promote solar power adoption for agricultural consumers and reduce reliance on conventional energy sources.

Summary

Ceigall India Ltd has received a ₹712 crore solar EPC contract from MSEDCL for setting up 190 MW of solar projects under Maharashtra’s MSKVY 2.0 program. The project spans four districts, includes a 25-year PPA, and strengthens Ceigall’s presence in the renewable energy sector, supporting the state’s push for sustainable, agriculture-focused solar power generation.
