The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will hold mock trading sessions on December 6, 2025, across all major segments: Equity, Equity Derivatives, Commodity Derivatives, and Currency Derivatives. These sessions aim to test trading systems under simulated market conditions and ensure readiness for real-market scenarios.

Purpose of Mock Trading

  • Enable trading members to test systems via IML/ETI APIs or third-party platforms.
  • Simulate various market conditions, including trading halts and risk-reduction modes.
  • Ensure compliance with SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/MRD1/DSAP/CIR/P/2020/234 regarding software testing for trading and risk management systems.

New Platform and Features

  • Introduction of BOLT Pro TWS Version 12.40.
  • Testing of new Pre-Open Session and reserved strike contracts in Equity Derivatives, effective from December 8, 2025.
  • Revised block deal framework and special pre-open sessions for IPOs and re-listed scrips in the Equity segment.
