
Bajaj Finserv Limited has reported robust performance from its unlisted insurance arms — Bajaj Life Insurance Limited and Bajaj General Insurance Limited — for the first half of FY26, showcasing continued strength in both life and general insurance businesses.
The data, disclosed to the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), highlights nearly ₹18,000 crore in total premium collections between April and September 2025, underscoring sustained demand for insurance products amid rising financial awareness.
Bajaj General Insurance Crosses ₹11,500 Crore in Gross Direct Premium
Bajaj General Insurance Limited recorded a gross direct premium of ₹2,218.77 crore in September 2025, taking its cumulative premium for April–September 2025 to ₹11,554.35 crore.
The company’s disclosures were made in compliance with the IRDAI Master Circular on Actuarial, Finance and Investment Function of Insurer (2024) and the IRDAI directive dated October 18, 2024. The figures reflect strong underwriting performance and growth in motor, health, and commercial insurance segments.
Bajaj Life Insurance Reports ₹6,327 Crore in New Business Premium
Bajaj Life Insurance Limited posted ₹1,374.58 crore in new business premium for September 2025, with cumulative collections of ₹6,327.17 crore during H1 FY26.
The premium composition for the period included:
- ₹358.85 crore from individual single premiums
- ₹3,067.48 crore from individual non-single premiums
- ₹2,532.31 crore from group single premiums
- ₹368.53 crore from group yearly renewable premiums
No premium was reported under group non-single policies for the period.
Strong Half-Yearly Momentum
Combined, the two subsidiaries of Bajaj Finserv have delivered close to ₹17,881 crore in total premium collections in H1 FY26, reflecting resilient growth, product diversification, and operational efficiency.
The continued expansion across both insurance verticals positions Bajaj Finserv well to maintain its leadership in India’s fast-growing financial services sector.
