View on market: Volatility persists, eagerly searching for growth:
Asian markets opened lower as investors turned cautious following hawkish comments from the Federal Reserve. Expectations of higher interest rates put pressure on regional equities, while renewed tensions in the Middle East pushed oil prices higher and added to market concerns. US stock futures were mixed ahead of the trading session as investors focused on the Federal Reserve’s policy outlook and comments from its Chair. Some major stocks traded higher, supported by gains in consumer and technology names, while several large companies remained under pressure. However, the major US indices later closed lower, with technology stocks leading the decline. In India, domestic equities ended higher in the previous session, supported by buying interest across key stocks. Despite the positive session, both the Nifty and Sensex remained under pressure for the week and recorded their third consecutive weekly decline. Overall, global markets remain cautious as investors assess interest-rate expectations, oil prices and geopolitical developments.
