TVS Motor Company has expanded its international portfolio with the launch of the Armado 200, a purpose-built three-wheeler tailored for Indonesia’s diverse and challenging terrain. The new vehicle is positioned to cater to the country’s growing demand across last-mile logistics and commercial mobility.

Performance and Utility-Focused Design

The Armado 200 is powered by a 197.75 cc oil-cooled engine, engineered to deliver reliable performance under demanding operating conditions. It features a spacious 2,070 mm cargo bed and offers a payload capacity of up to 840 kg, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial applications.

The vehicle has been introduced at an initial price of IDR 34,900,000 (on-road Jakarta) and is available in three colour options: Blue, Red, and White.

Built for Comfort and Terrain Adaptability

Designed to handle uneven and rural terrains, the Armado 200 comes equipped with a leaf-spring suspension system with dampers to enhance ride stability. The vehicle also incorporates ergonomic seating with a padded backrest to improve driver comfort during long working hours.

A USB charging port has been integrated to support the connectivity needs of operators, reflecting a practical approach to modern-day usability.

Localised Development and Manufacturing

The Armado 200 has been fully developed and manufactured in Indonesia, with production taking place at the TVS Karawang facility. This end-to-end localisation—from design to assembly—demonstrates the company’s commitment to leveraging local engineering capabilities and strengthening its presence in the region.

Partnerships to Drive Economic Value

TVS Motor has partnered with initiatives such as AGRINAS and the Merah Putih Co-operatives to deploy the Armado 200 across key regions. These collaborations are aimed at enhancing productivity, particularly in suburban and rural areas, while contributing to the broader economic ecosystem.

Technical Specifications Overview

The Armado 200 is equipped with a spark-ignition, 197.75 cc vertical cylinder engine delivering a maximum power of 10.6 kW at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 15.5 Nm at 5,000 rpm. It features a 5-speed manual transmission and a 16-litre fuel tank for extended operational range.

The vehicle measures 3,617 mm in length, 1,360 mm in width, and 1,627 mm in height, with a ground clearance of 230 mm. It is fitted with drum brakes on both front and rear wheels, along with a hand brake for added safety.
