Latest Updates

AGNIT Semiconductors has secured $2.6 million in a seed extension round led by Shastra VC, with continued participation from existing investors 3one4 Capital and Zephyr Peacock.

This latest funding follows the company’s earlier $3.5 million seed round in 2024, taking its total capital raised to over $7 million.

Capital Deployment and Growth Strategy

The newly raised funds will be deployed to scale production of gallium nitride (GaN) components, with a target to manufacture up to 1,00,000 units over the next two years.

In parallel, the company is expanding its focus on telecom infrastructure and high-efficiency power semiconductor applications—segments witnessing strong demand for GaN-based solutions.

Company Overview and Technology Focus

Founded in 2019 by a team of industry professionals, AGNIT Semiconductors specialises in the design and manufacturing of GaN materials and devices, particularly for radio-frequency (RF) applications.

GaN technology offers superior efficiency, higher power density, and better performance in high-frequency environments compared to traditional silicon-based semiconductors, making it increasingly relevant across advanced electronics and communication systems.

Strategic Shift Toward High-Growth Segments

The company has refined its strategic focus to prioritise sectors with immediate commercial potential for GaN technology. While it had previously explored applications in electric vehicles, AGNIT has temporarily paused those efforts to concentrate on telecom and power electronics.

This realignment is expected to enhance capital efficiency and accelerate market adoption in high-demand segments.

Summary

AGNIT Semiconductors has raised $2.6 million in a seed extension round led by Shastra VC to scale GaN production and expand into telecom and power semiconductor markets. With total funding exceeding $7 million, the company is focusing on high-growth applications of GaN technology, aiming to strengthen its position in advanced semiconductor solutions.
