ACME Solar Holdings Limited, through its subsidiary ACME Platinum Urja Pvt Ltd, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SECI Limited for its 200 MW solar project integrated with a 100 MW/400 MWh energy storage system (ESS). The tariff for the project has been set at ₹3.42 per unit, with the agreement formalised on 24 November 2025 following tariff adoption by the Central Regulator and procurement approval from the State Regulator.

This PPA completes the contractual coverage for the 350 MW cumulative capacity awarded to ACME Solar in July 2024. The company had earlier signed a PPA for 150 MW in October 2024, and the latest agreement brings the entire capacity under long-term commitment.

Operational Structure and Project Timeline

Under the terms of the PPA, ACME Solar is required to supply power at an annual Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 25–27% during solar hours. To ensure reliability during evening peak demand, the project must maintain minimum availability of 70% monthly and 85% annually, supported by the integrated ESS.

The project is scheduled for commissioning by June 2027. With transmission connectivity already granted for the site, ACME expects a smoother implementation process and reduced integration-related risks for the hybrid system.

Strengthening Renewable Energy Portfolio

The agreement marks a significant milestone in ACME Solar’s expansion strategy. In the current financial year alone, the company has secured PPAs for 800 MW of contracted capacity, supported by 2,320 MWh of battery storage. With the latest addition, ACME’s total PPA-backed portfolio has risen to 5,380 MW, reinforcing its position among India’s leading renewable energy developers.
