Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries has announced a strategic partnership with Eagle Agrotech Holdings Limited (EAHL) to establish sugarcane plantations and a sugar factory in Tanzania, marking the company’s first foray into the East African sugar market.

Under the agreement, Dalmia Bharat Sugar will acquire a 51% stake in EAHL, an Abu Dhabi-incorporated holding company, for a total cash consideration of up to $1 million. The acquisition is expected to be completed within six months and will be executed through EAHL’s subsidiary, Eagle Agrotech Tanzania Limited (EATL).
