
Defence Collaboration for Indigenous Fighter Jet Development
BEML Limited, Bharat Forge Limited, and Data Patterns (India) Limited have entered into a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly support India’s Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme. The agreement was signed on September 26, 2025, according to a regulatory filing by BEML.
The collaboration is aimed at participating in the Expression of Interest (EoI) floated by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and strengthening the domestic ecosystem for advanced defence manufacturing.
Market Reaction
Following the announcement, BEML’s stock slipped 3.46%, closing at ₹4,208.10 on the BSE, bringing its market capitalisation to about ₹17,524 crore. Bharat Forge’s shares also ended the day lower by 2.18% at ₹1,181—though the stock continues to trade more than 28% above its 52-week low of ₹919.10.
