NIFTY opened at 17149.50 with a gap up of 77 points. The index recorded its intraday high at 17155.60 within the first five minutes of trading and then started drifting downwards. A sharp decline of almost 250 points in one and half hours of trading and the index recorded its intraday low at 17909.60.Prices then consolidated for the whole afternoon in a tight narrow range. The consolidation eventually broke on the upside and the index rallied more than 100 points and then again consolidated. The index finally closed at 17003.75 with a loss of 68.85 points or 0.40% down. TheAUTO,PHARMA, and REALTY underperformed today, led the bears, and closed lower by more than 1%. IT outperformed today and was the only sector that closes with gains.

The short-term trend is still sideways. It will be up if the index closes above 17200 and it will be down if the index closes below 16900.We may get a clear sense of direction in the next week. The long-term trend is down while the long-term momentum is moving down and moving inside the weak zone. The Intermediate trend is sideways again while the intermediate momentum has bounced up from the weak zone and today reached within the strength zone.


BANK NIFTY opened at 35282.20 with a gap up of 236 points. The index first recorded its intraday high at 35327.95 and then moved down. A sharp decline brought prices to its intraday low at 34583.40 and then prices consolidated in a narrow range. A minor rally came that again turned into consolidation towards the end of todays trading session. Prices have finally closed at 34864.80with a loss of 219 points. PSU BANKS have seen a sharp downside move today and dosed lower by nearly 2%.PVT BANKS have also seen a decline today and ended with a loss of nearly 1%. Within the index, in terms of points, KOTAK BANK contributed the most on the downside followed by AX IS BANK.

BANK NIFTY traded very volatile today. Prices have seen a sharp decline and then a recovery but stayed below the resistance at 35500.The short-term trend is sideways and it is possible that we may see a directional move soon.


INDHOTEL 176 SELL The stock is on the verge of giving the breakdown on the intraday as well as the daily chart. The stock can be sold  below 175 with a stop loss of 179 and for the target of 170.
COFORGE 5645 BUY The  immediate trend of the script is bullish. There is a positive cross over of moving averages  as well as of the indicators therefore  it can be bought above 5650 with a stop loss of 5560 and target  of 5820.

  • The CBI has filed two supplementary chargesheets in connection with alleged illegal remittance of Rs 6,000 crore from a Bank of Baroda branch in Delhi to Hong Kong, camouflaged as payment for imports, sources said. In the chargesheets filed before a special CBI court, the central agency has alleged that a group of people opened accounts and deposited funds in them through various other accounts.

  • IL&FS Infrastructure Investment Trust ( IL&FS InvIT) has commenced business with acquisition of first road asset — Moradabad-Bareilly Expressway Ltd. The final consideration for sale of shares is Rs 576.77 crore and adjusted final consideration for assignment of receivables is Rs 14.26 crore. This transaction is based on final valuation and adjustments as stated in the Share Purchase Agreement (SPA).

  • HDFC Bank’s efforts in furthering financial inclusion through partnership with the Government of India’s Common Service Centres (CSC) have been adjudged ‘Most Innovative Best Practice’ for financial inclusion at the coveted CII Digital Transformation Award 2021.

  • Amid Omicron surge in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the nation today, said the country will start another vaccination programme to inoculate the children aged 15-18 from January 3, 2022. He also citizens above 60 years of age with co-morbidities will also have the option of taking “precaution dose” of the vaccine on the advice of their doctor. “This will also be available from January 10,” the Prime Minister said.
